Siebtes Internationales Summer Camp findet vom 23. Juli bis zum 6. August in der KZ-Gedenkstätte Mittelbau-Dora statt. Anmeldung offen.

Nordhausen. Zum siebten Mal findet in der KZ-Gedenkstätte Mittelbau-Dora ein mit dem Service Civil International (SCI) organisiertes Study and Work Camp für Freiwillige aus aller Welt ab 16 Jahren statt.

Wie während der bisherigen Camps sollen auch dieses Jahr unter dem Motto „Sichtbar machen“ Fundamentreste und die Umrisse ehemaliger Baracken durch das Verlegen von weißem Anhydritgestein kenntlich gemacht werden. Dadurch bekommen Besucher:innen der Gedenkstätte einen besseren Eindruck von der Topographie des ehemaligen Lagers.

Da im Arbeitsteil dieses Jahr ein Barackenfundament aus dem sogenannten Häftlingskrankenbau sichtbar gemacht werden soll, steht das Krankenrevier im Fokus des Studienteils des Camps. Darüber hinaus werden mehrere Biografien recherchiert, welche im Zusammenhang mit dem Krankenrevier stehen. Auch das Thema der Medizin im Konzentrationslager wird Inhalt sein. Die Annäherung an diese Themen erfolgt durch Rundgänge, das Arbeiten mit Quellen und Akten aus dem Archiv der Gedenkstätte, den Austausch miteinander und eine gemeinsame digital gestützte Projektarbeit mit iPads. Exkursionen in die Gedenkstätte Buchenwald bei Weimar und zum Erinnerungsort Topf & Söhne in Erfurt sind geplant.

The seventh International Summer Camp will take place from July 23 to August 6 at the Mittelbau-Dora Concentration Camp Memorial. Registration open.

Nordhausen. For the seventh time, a Study and Work Camp for volunteers from all over the world aged 16 and over, organized with the Service Civil International (SCI), is taking place at the Mittelbau-Dora Concentration Camp Memorial.

As a barrack foundation from the prisoner infirmary is to be made visible during the work part this year, the historical context of the infirmary is the focus of the camp’s study part. In addition, several biographies related to the infirmary will be researched. The topic of medicine in the concentration camps will also be discussed. These topics will be approached through tours, working with sources and files from the memorial’s archive, exchange with each other and joint digitally supported project work with iPads. Excursions to the Buchenwald Memorial near Weimar and to the Topf & Söhne Memorial in Erfurt are planned.

Le septième ‘summer-camp’ international aura lieu du 23 juillet au 6 août 2022 au mémorial de Mittelbau-Dora. Des inscriptions onlines sont possibles.

Nordhausen. C’est déjà la septième fois qu’un ‘Study and Work Camp’ aura lieu au mémorial de Mittelbau-Dora, organisé ensemble avec le service civil international (SCI), pour des bénévoles du monde entier à partir de 16 ans.

Comme pendant les ‚summer-camps‘ passés, il sera de nouveau la devise « rendre visible » en posant les roches d’anhydrite pour faire reconnaissables des restes de fondations et des contours de baraques. Ainsi, des visiteurs du mémorial reçoivent une meilleure idée de la topographie de l’ancien camp de concentration.

Cette année, une fondation de baraque de l’infirmerie sera rendue visible. C’est la raison pour laquelle l’accent du contenu sera mis sur l’infirmerie du camp de concentration. Les participants feront des recherches des biographies qui ont un rapport avec l’infirmerie. De plus, le traitement médical au camp de concentration sera sujet. L’approchement aux thèmes sera fait par des visites guidées, par le travail sur les sources et les documents de l’archive du mémorial, par des échanges entre les participants et par un projet digital soutenu avec des iPads.

Des excursions au Mémorial de Buchenwald à Weimar et au lieu de mémoire ‚Topf & Söhne‘ à Erfurt sont prévues.
